Bikes

In a retail store a salesperson can take measurements and let the cyclist try out bikes and equipment. However, when buying over the Internet, a consumer must take measurements himself. For the sake of safety and comfort it's important to have a tape measure when buying a bike online.

When shopping for road bikes size and fit are two of the most important factors. Bicyclists will need to know their height and inseam measurements. These determine what size frame is most appropriate.

When buying accessories for bikes more measurements need to be taken. A cyclist will need to know his shoe size to purchase bike shoes. In addition, a head measurement must be taken in order to purchase the appropriate helmet.
